가탄제는 제강 전기로 에서 주원료인 고철을 용해 시에 부족한 탄소 함량을 보충하여 철의 강도를 조절하고 로의 열량을 높여주는 중요한 부 원료로 노내 또는 레들에 투입. 천연 무연 가탄제는 코크스와 달리 비중이 높아서 전기 로에 INJECTION 주입 시 집진기 에 과다하게 빨려 들거나 용탕 시 즉시 타버리지 않아 용탕 효율이 상대적으로 높으며 특히 유황성분이 낮아서 철강 재질의 경성화를 방지하여 철강제품 고급화에 적합하므로 생산성 향상 효과가 있음.
Carbon Additive is an important auxiliary material that supplements insufficient carbon content when melting scrap iron (the primary raw material) in the steelmaking electric furnace. It helps to control the strength of the iron and increase the calorific value of the furnace. Unlike coke, natural anthracite recarburizing agents have a high specific gravity, so it is not excessively withdrawn into the dust collector of the electric furnace injector, nor will it burn out immediately during quenching – so the molten metal’s efficiency is relatively high. In particular, the low sulfur content prevents hardening of steel materials, making it suitable for upgrading steel products, thereby improving productivity.

코크스 (coke)는 석탄이나 석유에서 생산되는 탄소를 주요 성분으로 하는 고체. 넓은 뜻으로는 유기물에 공기를 차단하고 가열 (건류) 하였을 때 휘발 분이 빠진 다음에 남는 탄 소질 물직의 총칭이다. 좁은 뜻으로는 석탄의 고온 건류에 의해 생성되는 단 괴상의 탄 소질 물질을 말하고 저온 건류에 의한 것은 저온코크스라 하여 구별하는 경우가 많다. 회색을 띤 검정색이며 금속성 광택이 있다. 코크스 가탄제는 제강 전기로 에서 주원료인 고철 용해 시에 부족한 탄소 함량을 보충하여 철의 강도를 조절하고 로의 열량을 높여주는 중요한 부 원료로 노내 또는 레들에 투입.
Coke is a carbon-based solid produced from coal or petroleum. In a broad sense, it is a generic term for carbonaceous materials that remain after volatile matter is removed when the organic material is heated (dried) by restricting air exposure. In a narrower sense, it refers to a carbonaceous substance in the form of nodules produced by high-temperature drying of coal, and it is often classified as low-temperature coke by low-temperature drying. It is grayish black and has a metallic luster. Coke retainer is an important auxiliary material that supplements the insufficient carbon content when melting scrap iron, which is the main raw material, in a steelmaking electric furnace to control the strength of iron and increase the calorific value of the furnace.
